Since 2012, the Office of Evaluation prepares an annual work programme and budget with an outlook for two additional years. This is part of WFP’s rolling 3-year Management Plan, which is approved by the Executive Board, based on:

• consultations to determine the most useful topics to be covered by its strategic evaluations;
• a combination of criteria and consultation for selecting programme areas for impact evaluation;
• criteria for choosing countries for portfolio evaluations; and
• a combination of size, type and geographic location to choose operations evaluations.

In 2012, OE will focus on impact, country portfolio and global evaluations; some jointly with other agencies. Review the 2012 Annual Evaluation Work Programme.
