Nutritionist Mutinta Hambayi discusses our growing knowledge about the link between hunger and the HIV pandemic, particularly in countries like her native Zambia. According to Hambayi, breaking down food-related barriers to treatment is the surest way to undo that link.

Mutinta Hambayi is an HIV Programme Advisor at WFP headquarters in Rome. She has a Masters Degree in Food and Nutrition from Queensland University in Australia. She has worked in Zambia, where she grew up, as well as Sudan.
