Junior 8 Summit – Italy 2009

Published on 27 May 2009

If you had the chance to tell world leaders how they should solve global issues would you take it? With the J-8 Summit, held each year in conjunction with the G-8 Summit, students from all over the world have this opportunity. Students age 14-17 were invited to apply to attend the summit in July and four students from each G-8 country and 8 non-G-8 countries were selected. This year’s summit will be held in Italy and will focus on climate change and HIV/AIDS. Students will also be able to choose one of the following topics to address – poverty and development, financial crisis, or food security. Keep an eye on developments, and check out activities in your area at www.j8summit.com
