A five-time Grammy Award winning American singer-songwriter and TV personality, the U.S. national has sold 50 million albums and 52 million singles. In her role as an Ambassador, Aguilera has visited WFP operations in Guatemala, Haiti, Rwanda and recently, Ecuador and uses her immense following on social media to advocate and seek support for WFP’s work. Since 2009, she has also served as global spokesperson for Yum! Brands’ World Hunger Relief campaign. Yum! Brands has raised over $100 million for WFP since 2007 and is WFP’s largest private sector donor. Ms. Aguilera has starred in PSAs since 2010 that raise awareness for the partnership and in 2012, she was honored with David Novak, Yum! Brands’ Chairman and CEO by World Food Program USA with the George McGovern Leadership Award for their hunger relief efforts. She also received a special achievement award at the 2012 National Council of La Raza ALMA Awards and was the first recipient of the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian of the Year Award in 2013 for her hunger relief work.
