Hend Sabry

Hend Sabry is a Tunisian actress and lawyer who began acting at the age of 14 in the Tunisian production “Les Silences du Palais” in 1994. She has since appeared in seven television shows and appeared in 22 films such as, Detective and a Thief and Banat West El Balad—Downtown Girls. One of Ms. Sabry’s most well-movies is “Asmaa”, a film that won her many international awards for her interpretation of an HIV positive woman. Other awards have included Tyche Jordan Awards 2012—Best Arab Actress for Vertigo and Lebanese Murex D’or 2012—Best Arab Actress for 3ayza Atgawez- Asmaa. Ms. Sabry frequently promotes WFP’s activities to her more than 2 million followers on her social and digital media channels. In 2015, Ms. Sabry launched a fundraising campaign on social media auctioning her traditional Bedouin dress. Ms. Sabry has visited WFP operations in Jordan and Lebanon and school feeding projects in Egypt and Tunisia.
