Aid agencies say they urgently need funds to help the nearly one million people displaced by violence in Ivory Coast, and the slow response to their appeals is putting lives at risk.(..)"WFP is trying to resort to some internal mechanisms of advance financing and food loans from other WFP programmes in neighbouring countries," Malek Triki, WFP's regional spokesman for West Africa, said.
