WFP provides food assistance to children enrolled in public primary schools through school canteens. The WFP School Feeding programme is currently cooperating in 10 out of 12 regions all over the country, covering 400 schools and more than 75,000 pupils in partnership with the Government. The targeted areas represent the most vulnerable regions in the country as well as the most rural and isolated villages. In addition WFP is assisting people living with HIV/AIDS in order to improve their nutritional and food security status.
