Building resilience through asset creation

Building resilience is about concerted efforts to enhance the capacities, assets and systems of the most vulnerable households, communities and countries to prepare for, withstand and bounce back better from recurrent shocks.  WFP enhances engagement with partners and promotes better programming for resilience building through the Three-Pronged Approach (3PA). The approach aims to strengthen the design, planning and implementation of longer-term resilience building programmes through new and innovative tools: Part 1 - Integrated Context Analysis (ICA), Part 2 - Seasonal Livelihood Programming (SLP), and Part 3 - Community-based Participatory Planning (CBPP).
