Canada contributes $350 million to fight hunger

Canada will be contributing $350 million over five years to help combat hunger in the world's poorest countries, International Development Minister Bev Oda said Wednesday. (..) WFP executive director Josette Sheeran said the five-year funding commitment from Canada was essential to help the UN agency plan for the long term. "This agreement today is not about totals but about a base," Sheeran said.
