WFP assists internally displaced people, Sudanese refugees, orphans and people living with HIV/AIDS and provides food assistance to protect the nutritional status of mothers and children at risk of malnutrition and to increase school enrolment, attendance and completion rates. The humanitarian air service provides a reliable and safe mode of transportation for the humanitarian community, and the logistics augmentation special operation caters to the increased transport demand expressed by several humanitarian partners. WFP is taking the lead in logistics and telecommunication clusters.
