Central America PRRO 200490 Restoring Food Security and Livelihoods for Vulnerable Groups Affected by Recurrent Shocks in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua: An Operation Evaluation.
The evaluation covers the Central America PRRO 200490 operation "Restoring Food Security and Livelihoods for Vulnerable Groups Affected by Recurrent Shocks in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua". It was intended for both accountability and learning and focuses on assessing: i) the appropriateness and coherence of the operation; ii) its results; and iii) the factors explaining the results.

The evaluation assessed the following activities: immediate support to households and communities to improve food security through general food distribution and cash and voucher; enhancing resilience and responsiveness through disaster risk reduction activities and assets creation.

The evaluation, which makes a number of recommendations for the future, was managed and conducted by a consultancy firm, with fieldwork taking place in September-October 2015.
