Chad - Marchés et sécurité alimentaire, Février 2011

The 2009/2010 food crisis in Chad lead to a considerable increase in grain prices, especially in the Eastern and Central Sahelian Regions, affecting a population strongly relying on markets for their food security. The Markets and Food Security Study aims to provide a better understanding of the market dynamics in Chad, in order to improve food security monitoring in the country  and ensure appropriate responses to shocks. The study was jointly carried out by the Government, FAO, FewsNet and WFP between November and December 2010.
