DSWD expands partnership with WFP in Mindanao

To prevent the prevalence of Iron Deficiency Anaemia (IDA) which is a serious public health concern in Central Mindanao, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is expanding its partnership with the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) by committing to provide some 18,800 tons of iron-fortified rice for approximately 106,000 food-insecure families in Maguindanao, North Cotabato, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, and Sultan Kudarat.
