Resource Situation

Since December 2013, there has been a rapid deterioration of the security situation in the Central African Republic. As violence increased, many civilians fled to safer areas and neighboring countries, including Chad, Cameroon, the Republic of Congo and Uganda. Chad has witnessed a steady influx of persons of Chadian origin, refugees from the Central African Republic and third-country nationals into both the capital and southern border regions. As of early March, 80,354 people had left Central African Republic for Chad.
