FAO’s seed scheme set to yield food for poor

The FAO announced here on Wednesday that its large-scale distribution of wheat seeds to flood victims in Pakistan is now ripe to yield enough food for half a million poor rural households.(..)An Early Recovery Working Group, co-chaired by the NDMA and the UN Development Programme, has been set up with eight sectors covered, including one on Agriculture and Food Security, co-chaired by FAO, the World Food Programme, and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
