French and British Foreign Ministers Receive First-Hand Updates from Civilians

French and British foreign ministers, accompanied by several Sri Lankan ministers, secretary to Foreign Ministry and senior officials arrived at the Manic Farm Relief Village today (29) to receive a first-hand assessment of the prevailing sanitary and welfare arrangements. (...) UN sponsored World Food Programme centres, Cooperative shops, and pre-schools inside the IDP centre were inspected by two visiting Foreign Ministers before they spoke to a cross section of the inmates with the help of a Tamil- English interpreter.
