Government assists WFP to combat food shortage

The government has provided grant worth $35.8 million to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) through the Ministry of Local Development (MoLD), to continue to combat hunger and malnutrition in Nepal. The grant is gravitated towards assisting rural livelihoods for some 490,000 Nepalis living in districts to tide over a food deficit.
