Govt rescues 18,000 food insecure households

About 18, 000 food insecure households in Nsanje District will soon start getting food provisions courtesy of the World Food Programme (WFP). (..) The District Commissioner Rodney Simwaka confirmed in an interview on Saturday both the food scarcity and the upcoming food distribution by WFP. “People in the district do not have food from their own production because of dry spell. So the World Food Programme will soon start distributing food to 18,000 farm families in all the nine T/As.
