International Food Aid Begins Arriving in Guatemala

International aid requested by the Guatemalan government to alleviate the hunger affecting more than 54,000 poor families in the eastern and northeastern part of the country has begun to arrive from different nations, officials reported Tuesday. (..) Last week, the European Union earmarked 15 million euros ($22 million) to finance the Guatemalan programs of the World Food Program and the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization.
