WFP Myanmar: Emergency Response To Floods

While over a quarter of a million people are affected by severe flooding and landslides in 12 out of 14 states in Myanmar, more than 200,000 people are in need of immediate food assistance.

WFP initiated an emergency operation targeting 208,000 people. Since the start of the response on 2 August 2015, WFP has now reached 82,000 people with food assistance in the flood-affected areas. The organization requires at least US$3 million per month to meet the currently-estimated flood response needs, on top of existing operations in the country.
