October 2014 Monthly Report

In October 2014, WFP continued working with its various partners with the objective of enhancing the support for the targeted groups throughout the country. WFP has strengthened its partnership with the Ministry of Education and Training in the school feeding programme. Efforts to finalise the National School Feeding Policy are underway with the view of strengthening the capacity of the Government to implement and manage school feeding in 2018. Under the Disaster Risk Reduction component of the Country Programme, WFP is working closely with the Ministry of Forestry and Land Reclamation. The partnership will ensure the sustainability of the land rehabilitation activities beyond the WFP initiative. WFP also continued to work with the World Vision in the distribution of food and Phelisanang Bophelong and GROW in the livelihood projects for beneficiaries on ART and those on TB treatment.
