R4 Rural Resilience Initiative: Quarterly Report | October - December 2015

The R4 Rural Resilience Initiative (R4) is a strategic partnership between Oxfam America (OA) and the UN World Food Programme (WFP). R4 was initiated in 2011 to respond to the challenges faced by food-insecure communities enduring increasingly frequent and intense climate disasters and other shocks. During this quarter, risk reduction activities have been fully implemented in Ethiopia and Senegal. R4 is also now operational in Malawi and Zambia where several components of the R4 approach are being actively integrated. In Southern Africa, The initiative is supported by a three-year grant provided by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
