Some 147,000 to receive food aid in Mauritania

Some 147,000 people facing food insecurity in Mauritania, a country largely taken up by desert, will be receiving immediate aid, Mauritania's food security commissioner said Tuesday.(..)He said the figure was the result of a study done in February alongside the World Food Programme (WFP) in all poor areas of the country, especially those in border areas which are most affected.
