Survey raises alarm over mother, child malnutrition in Sindh

Public health experts have called for comprehensive plans and better coordination among various departments to improve the state of nutrition among children and women in Sindh (Pakistan), after a national nutritional survey report launched on Tuesday showed that food insecurity was the highest in the province. (..) They were speaking at a workshop organized in part by the Sindh health department. Besides Sindh Health Minister Dr. Sagheer Ahmad, Secretary Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi and Special Secretary Dr. Suresh Kumar, representatives of the WHO, the WFP, and the UN Children’s Fund participated in the workshop.
