UN to mass-produce ready-to-eat food in Pakistan for emergencies

The United Nations World Food Programme (UN-WFP) is making a headway in the mass-production of its new ready-to-eat food in various manufacturing plants in Pakistan for future emergencies in the Sub-Continent, Middle East and African regions.(..)David B. Kaatrud, Director of Emergencies World Food Programme (WFP) in Rome, told Khaleej Times in an interview that the mass production in Pakistan will resolve the high cost of transporting and too much dependence on products produced in other countries in times of emergencies.
