WFP and the European Union food facility


The EU food facility (EUFF) reached out a hand to help the poorest farmers increase their agricultural capacity and improve the nutritional status of their families.  Between 2009 and 2011, nearly five million people in Bangladesh, Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, Liberia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Senegal and Sierra Leone benefitted from WFP initiatives such as improving crop production and marketing, building infrastructure, creating new revenue streams and reducing the impact of natural calamities.
