WFP Innovates to Fight Hunger in Bolivia

Published on 17 June 2014

WFP programmes in Bolivia are among the most innovative in Latin America and are implemented within the country’s most vulnerable populations. Programmes are possible with the assistance of WFP’s governmental counterparts, primarily in remote and vulnerable municipalities, with the objective of reducing this high vulnerability. WFP’s VAM Analyses in Bolivia aims to identify the most vulnerable areas to improve the targeting of investments and decision-making within the social policy of the government. The main challenge WFP in Bolivia faces is funding: with less money there is less food to distribute, which means there are fewer people assisted.
