WFP SOUTH SUDAN SITUATION REPORT #85, 10 JULY 2015

Highlights

  • Data collection for the next round of the Food Security and Nutrition Monitoring System (FSNMS) to start next week. WFP’s Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping unit along with partners, have started the training of enumerators in most counties/states and will begin the data collection phase for the July FSNMS (round 16) in nine states across the country. Due to limited accessibility, Unity state cannot be included in the FSNMS. WFP and partners are working to conduct an Emergency Food Security Assessments (EFSA) there. Any partners with significant presence on the ground in Unity should contact WFP to get involved in the assessment.
  • WFP congratulates the South Sudanese people on the fourth anniversary of their nation’s independence.
