The World Food Programme (WFP) said on Wednesday its food purchases from Uganda rose 29.6 percent in 2010 from the previous year boosted by an increase in donations to the U.N. agency. (..) "Thanks to increased cash donations in recent years, WFP has become Uganda's largest buyer of quality grain for operations in the country as well as for operations elsewhere in Africa," the statement said.
