Zamace brings hope to boost agriculture sector

Published on 17 June 2009

So far, various competent crop buyers and other reputable organisations are looking for agricultural produce from Zamace. One such organisation is the World Food Programme (WFP) which has so far invested more than US$ 32 million in Zambia over the last two years to procure food locally from smallholder farmers through Zamace. According to the WFP Zambia Purchase for Progress programme assistant Giuseppe Capristo, his organisation has been buying maize from smallholder and other low-income farmers through Zamace thereby improving farmers’ access to markets.
