HIV/AIDS: Soy Used To Improve Nutrition In Bolivia
Almost a year ago, WFP in Bolivia started a project aimed at assisting some 650 people living with HIV, highly food insecure and with antiretroviral treatment. Every month, at the time of getting their medical treatment at the health center, these people also receive a family food basket made up of rice, soy grain, salt and vegetable oil. Food assistance comes along with nutritional control and counseling through professional nutritionists who help them with information on how to improve their nutrition using WFP’s basket and other food of daily consumption.
