MVP - Livestock

The  MVP partnership is based on a shared vision that the battle against hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition is winnable. One female beneficiary in Malawi was able to grow enough maize to not only feed her family, but also to sell the surplus and use the profits to purchase livestock and build an animal shelter.

Beneficiaries of the MVP

WFP and MVP work together to take action at the village level to achieve sustainable and lasting food security by adopting a comprehensive approach that integrates: humanitarian assistance, food safety nets, nutrition, education and small-scale sustainable agriculture and food production. Pictured here are beneficiaries of the MVP in Malawi.
