Food Brings Families Home In Central African Republic

WFP is scaling up operations amid increasing concerns that ongoing insecurity is fuelling hunger among people who have fled their homes and farms. WFP provided food in Damara north of Bangui on the road the rebels swept down when they took the capital on 24 March. Beneficiaries say the assistance is crucial as they are between harvests. Although the rains have been good, many have not had access to their fields and have lost their seeds and animals.
