CAIRO - Egypt lost an estimated 20.3 billion Egyptian pounds (US$3.7 billion) or 1.9 percent of Gross Domestic Product in 2009 as a result of child undernutrition, according to a study launched today in Cairo.

Saudi Arabia Supports WFP Development Programmes In Egypt To Promote Education And Combat Hunger

CAIRO – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) welcomed today a generous donation of 561  metric tons of dates from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, worth 5.5 million Egyptian Pounds (approximately US$790,000), to support WFP development projects in Egypt.
