World Food Programme Fighting Hunger Worldwide

From April to June 2013, WFP reached an average of 1.46 million beneficiaries per month, distributing a total of 10,489 metric tons of food. During this period, WFP conducted 764 monitoring visits to ensure that the most vulnerable are receiving the right food assistance at the right time. From January to March 2013, WFP reached on average 1.24 million beneficiaries each month with the total of 13,559 metric tons of food, of which 6,198 metric tons was nutritious biscuits and Super Cereals. WFP teams conducted 495 monitoring visits from January to March. In total since the start of the operation in July 2012, WFP has conducted 1,803 monitoring visits.

The performance evaluation assesses the outcomes and effectiveness of the Emergency Operation (EMOP 200226):"Emergency Food Assistance for Vulnerable Groups in DPR Korea". The operation was implemented from April 2011-June 2012.

The monitoring and evaluation bulletin for WFP's operation in DPR Korea is issued on a quarterly basis. The second bulletin covers the months from October to December 2012. The bulletin provides information about WFP's implementation of the Protracted Relief and Recovery Operation (PRRO 200114): "Nutrition Support to Women and Children in DPR Korea".

The monitoring and evaluation bulletin for WFP's operation in DPR Korea is issued on a quarterly basis. The first bulletin covers the first 3 months (July- September 2012) of the implementation of the Protracted Relief and Recovery Operation: "Nutrition Support to Women and Children".
