The New Academic Year Brings Hot Meals In Kyrgyz Schools
More than 10,300 children in 59 pilot rural primary schools throughout the Kyrgyz Republic began receiving improved school meals since the start of the new academic year few days ago. Nutritious soup, porridges and pastry from fortified wheat flour have replaced tea and bread rolls in school kitchens. By the end of 2014, the number of school kids receiving nutritious lunches will increase to over 25,000.
