World Food Programme Fighting Hunger Worldwide

WFP aims to assist the Government of Lao PDR in reaching the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and lifting the country from the rank of Least Developed Countries by 2020. Universal food security and healthy nutrition are the focus of WFP’s work in the country, along with support to the attainment of universal primary education. Food is provided as emergency aid, as remuneration for the development of community assets, and as incentive for families to enable their children to attend school.
