MASERU – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and an inter-ministerial Lesotho Government delegation are to travel to Brazil to learn new skills for managing the country’s school meals programme. The trip will last from 25 August till 6 September

MASERU - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has contributed 90 tons of food worth 735,110 Saudi Arabian Riyal (USD$196,000) to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) for distribution to people affected by drought, floods and crop failure in Lesotho.

WFP completes a historic purchase by buying maize directly from a group of small-scale farmers in Lesotho, the first ever direct purchase in that country. The farmer produced a surplus despite the country’s worst drought in 30 years by using conservation farming techniques.
