KAMPALA – Refugees and members of host communities are set to benefit after a landmark deal was signed between the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) that will bring greater economic prosperity and enhanced self-reliance to thousands of farmers.

KAMPALA – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has leased its 5,000 metric ton capacity warehouse in Gulu town to a private company Afgri-Gulu Ltd, for a groundbreaking venture that will conduct normal grain trade and at the same time operate the warehouse receipt system. GOMA –The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has begun food distributions to 74,000 people affected by armed conflict in the Beni region of eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Inhabitants have been returning to this remote area of North Kivu near the Ugandan border following attacks and occupation by rebels in the latter half of last year.
