UNHAS Current Operations
Thanks to the Emergency Response project, which is funded by ECHO (European Commission Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection), two MI-8 stand-by helicopters 
have been positioned in Entebbe, Uganda, available for immediate, cost-efficient deployment in emergencies on behalf of the humanitarian community. From this geographically central location, the helicopters have the capacity to reach all of continental Africa, Madagascar and even Pakistan – and may be easily positioned in other strategic areas.
