A Glimpse Into the Lives of Syrian Refugees At Jordan's Azraq Camp
Azraq camp is the third refugee camp set up in Jordan for Syrian refugees who have sought haven in the country. The camp's goal is to avail services to refugees akin to those in urban cities. Inaugurated in April this year, Azraq camp is the product of an international relief effort to help Jordan cope with the swelling number of refugees fleeing the crisis in syria. There are around 600,000 UNHCR-registered refugees in Jordan. Around 8,000 of them now live in Azraq camp.
