SANA’A – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is warning that the recent five-day “humanitarian pause” in Yemen was not long enough to reach all those in need of food and other relief supplies, and is appealing for a series of predictable breaks in the conflict to deliver desperately needed aid.

SANA’A – A ship carrying fuel chartered by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has arrived in Yemen, opening up a new humanitarian lifeline for civilians impacted by conflict. All humanitarian operations in the country had ground to a halt because of a shortage of fuel.

SANA’A – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Yemen today expressed its thanks for a donation of US$5.3 million (JPY580 million) to support on-site school feeding up to the end of the current school year. The donation was confirmed at a signing ceremony in Rome on 7 November.
