UNHAS Yemen was activated to support the humanitarian community in response to the crisis in Yemen; providing air transport to facilitate the implementation and
monitoring of humanitarian activities in the Governorate of Sa’ada. In line with WFP Strategic Objective 5, the aim of this special operation (SO) was to enhance the predictability, timeliness and efficiency of the logistics response under the cluster approach. Moreover, the SO aimed to facilitate the access of humanitarian personnel and light cargo to the affected populations and thereby ensure operational continuity.
