WFP conducts about 90 assessments every year. Some are regular assessments which are conducted at the same period annually, for example after the harvest. Others are triggered by a natural disaster, a conflict or long recurrent crisis.
The Assessor, a bi-monthly electronic newsletter, provides updates on ongoing and upcoming assessments, available guidance and latest methodological progress made in the field of food security analysis.
