Friends of the World Food Programme is a US-based nonprofit organisation that is dedicated to increasing awareness about hunger issues and mobilising resources and support for hunger relief operations

Established in 1995 as a not-for-profit charitable organisation, Friends of WFP is based in Washington, DC. The Board of Directors is comprised of 13 individuals who care deeply about the hunger issue and want to help WFP reach the goal of eradicating world hunger.

The Friends of WFP Board of Directors consists of current and former Members of Congress, executive directors and presidents of food-related associations, a former Secretary of the US Department of Agriculture and one United States Ambassador.
