Visit To Somalia And Northern Kenya By WFP Executive Director Josette Sheeran

Josette Sheeran, Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), is today (21 July) travelling to Somalia to view WFP’s ongoing operations to feed vulnerable and hungry people affected by severe drought and conflict. Sheeran will return to Nairobi, Kenya this evening.

Sheeran will travel to drought affected areas in Wajir in Northern Kenya, where WFP is assisting local communities, and to Dadaab refugee camp where WFP is providing food assistance for people fleeing conflict and drought in Somalia.
