Germany Sustains Support For Afghan And Iraqi Refugees In Iran

TEHRAN – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) welcomes a new contribution of €1 million (approximately US$1.2 million) from the Federal Republic of Germany that will be used to provide food assistance to 30,000 of the most vulnerable Afghan and Iraqi refugees living in settlements in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

UN World Food Programme Executive Director Visiting Iran

TEHRAN – Ertharin Cousin, the United Nations World Food Programme’s (WFP) Executive Director, has arrived for a 2-day visit to Iran. During her trip to the capital, she will meet Government officials, donors and the UN community. She will also visit a camp hosting Afghan refugees, where WFP has been providing food assistance for many years.
