World Health Organization And World Food Programme Join Forces To Reach Zero Ebola Cases

GENEVA – The World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) are combining their forces in a new partnership in the Ebola-affected countries of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.  The arrangement combines the logistics strength of WFP with WHO’s public health expertise to help get the current Ebola outbreak down to zero cases in West Africa. The platform also establishes an alert and response infrastructure for future crises.

Liberia Launches 2012 Comprehensive Food Security And Nutrition Survery

Monrovia – The Vice President of Liberia, H.E. Ambassador Joseph N. Boakai, launched the 2012 Comprehensive Food Security and Nutrition Survey (CFSNS) on 28 June at Paynesville City Hall, near the capital Monrovia. The launch ceremony was hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and was attended by representatives from the Liberian Government, donor organizations, UN Mission in Liberia, UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs and media organizations.
