WFP And The National Institute For Civil Defence Organize A Workshop On The Usage Of Humanitarian Unmanned Aerial Vehicles In Emergencies

LIMA. – From June 26 to 28, United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and the National Institute for Civil Defence (INDECI) will hold a workshop on the "Coordination and Simulation of Humanitarian Unmanned Aerial Vehicles". It will consist of presentations, discussions, group exercises, and simulations regarding possible modalities of coordination and collaboration.

“Hidden Hunger”, A Serious Public Health Issue In Latin America And The Caribbean

SANTO DOMINGO – Startling figures were released today about the impact of micronutrient deficiencies, or “hidden hunger” during the opening of the First Regional Workshop on Rice Fortification in Latin America and the Caribbean,” which aims to highlight rice fortification as a cost-effective strategy that can help countries achieve Zero Hunger by 2030, as laid out in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
