Italy Donates EUR 1 Million To WFP And UNICEF For People Affected By Conflict In Eastern Ukraine

Kyiv  – The Government of Italy has donated EUR 1 million to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and UNICEF to assist people affected by the conflict in Eastern Ukraine in 2017.

KIEV – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) will continue to support 220,000 food-insecure people in conflict-affected areas of eastern Ukraine throughout 2017, while gradually supporting efforts for early recovery.

EU Humanitarian Aid Helps WFP Maintain Assistance To Conflict-Affected People In Eastern Ukraine

KIEV – As the conflict in Eastern Ukraine continues, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has welcomed a contribution of EUR 800,000 (US$ 891,861 ) in humanitarian aid from the European Union (EU) in support of the WFP-led Logistics Cluster in Ukraine.

Conflict In Eastern Ukraine Leaves 1.5 Million People Hungry

KIEV– The two-year long conflict in eastern Ukraine has left around 1.5 million people hungry, including almost 300,000 people who are severely food insecure and in need of immediate food assistance. The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) aims to reach nearly 270,000 of the most vulnerable people with monthly food assistance over the first half of this year.

United Nations Delivers 634 Metric Tons Of Humanitarian Aid To Luhansk

KYIV, 14 December 2015 – The United Nations delivered 634 metric tons of humanitarian aid to Luhansk today. Led by the Logistics Cluster, the convoy includes food, medicines and trauma kits, antiretroviral treatment and test systems procured by the United Nations Children`s Fund (UNICEF), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
